At On The Lamb Farm we offer beginner herding classes, and clinics for handlers at all levels, both for practical farm work and for herding sport competitions. We also host herding competition events, sponsored by local breed clubs, at various times during the year.
Sara-Jo Gahm currently competes in local and national herding competitions with her Border Collies, focusing on cattle trials. However, she started herding with Australian Cattle Dogs and won the Australian Cattle Dog Club Of America National Specialty Herding Championship 9 times before switching to Border Collies. She teaches herding to students with a variety of herding breeds.
We raise grass-fed beef and lamb here in the beautiful Stillaguamish Valley in Arlington, Washington. We started On The Lamb Farm in 1998, raising livestock on lush green pastures, available for sale in custom cut/wrap/freeze portions to your specifications. Our animals are raised in a natural herd environment, and are free of any added hormones or antibiotics. See our “Order Meat” page for details.
